In a remarkable initiative bridging Egypt’s rich heritage with modern innovation, El Adl Group for artistic production announced a strategic partnership with Hyde Park Developments to present the first-ever musical play dedicated to the artistic and human journey of the legendary Umm Kulthum. The announcement coincides with the 50th anniversary of her passing, marking a significant cultural tribute to “Kawkab Al Sharq” (Star of the East).
Celebrating Egyptian Art on Stage
The press conference held in Cairo unveiled the ambitious project, which promises to merge art with cutting-edge technology. The play will revisit Umm Kulthum’s most iconic milestones—from her childhood and early beginnings, through her artistic peak, to her collaborations with the greatest poets and composers who shaped Arab identity. Using advanced visual and digital technologies, including artificial intelligence applications, the production will recreate the atmosphere of her concerts, allowing audiences to feel as though they are part of her timeless performances.
